I understand that artists and groups want their money and so do the record companies and all the other groups and people that are involved with music, but if it wasn't for us FANS, there would not be a music industry or movie industry or any other outlet of entertainment that requires millions and millions of people to make it popular.
I don't like it when local, state, and federal government make imminent domain laws and other laws like easement, which takes away from what property I own and THEN makes me pay property taxes, which includes taxes on what amount of my yard or land that they take over. Or when they say "You have to move out of your home or off your property because we're gonna build something here or slap a road/highway through this area."
Do you musicians want us to listen to your music or watch your movies, actors/actresses? Maybe we want you all to stop creating entertainment for us and live like us poor people do, paycheck to paycheck, not knowing how you're gonna put gas in your vehicle or food in your family's mouths and then see how you like it. Are you all going to charge us for listening to a song on the local radio station or for watching a movie or TV show on the local television channel.
You people make millions and millions of dollars or more each year and you all are going to whine and complain because people are sharing music, movies, programs, and whatever else through peer-to-peer sites on the internet. People have been sharing with friends and others for what, 40 or 50 years now. When it was records, they taped them on reel-to-reel, then they taped to cassettes and then CDs and now because technology has boomed, we have another avenue to share with each other.
What's it going to be next, us being told what we can and cannot listen to or watch? Good luck with that. Stop messing with the little people or there won't be any more FANS or public to fill your deep pockets, then what you gonna do???
